We could work with any species. We chose one. European white oak has a tight, even grain, natural strength, and a quiet warmth that only deepens with age.
It suits the coastal light of a Newport living room as well as it suits a mountain retreat. Focusing on a single wood has let us learn everything about it, from how it moves with the seasons to how it takes a finish, so every floor we make is built on that understanding.

Our oak grows slowly in the cool forests of southern Germany, which gives the timber its density, stability, and beautiful grain. From there it travels to our mills in Lithuania to be sawn, dried, and hand-sorted into three distinct grades.

When the oak arrives at our Costa Mesa workshop, it isn’t pulled from a shelf. Every board is cut, shaped, and prepared by hand for a specific home, matched for grain and tone so the finished floor reads as one continuous piece. It takes longer to work this way, but it’s how the fit and finish come out right.

Prime: Our cleanest grade, with minimal knots and a calm, consistent tone for a refined, modern look.
Select: A balanced grade with small, scattered knots and gentle color variation that adds warmth without busyness.
Classic: Our most expressive grade, rich with knots, grain movement, and natural variation for a timeless, lived-in feel.
